Rep. Dean Schamore Appointed to Legislative Subcommittee on State Police Safety Measures
Frankfort, KY –Just announced, Rep. Dean Schamore has been appointed to the new bipartisan, 22-member legislative subcommittee on State Police Safety Measures. The subcommittee falls under the auspices of the Interim Joint Committee on Veterans, Military Affairs and Public Protection Committee on which Rep. Schamore is a member. The new Police Safety Committee will hear proposals on potential measures that could be provided to make state police vehicles and troopers safer in the field.
The first meeting of the subcommittee will be Tuesday, October 27, 2015 in Room 169 of the Capitol Annex at 11 a.m. ET.
Rep. Schamore is an entrepreneur, the founder and owner of Digital Connections Plus located in Hardinsburg in Breckinridge County. He served in the United States Navy and resides in Hardinsburg with his wife and two daughters. Elected in 2014, Rep. Schamore represents House District 10, which includes Breckinridge, Hancock and portions of Hardin County. He serves as Vice Chair of the Veterans, Military, and Public Safety Committee. He also serves on Agriculture and Small Business, Economic Development, the Tourism Development & Energy and the new Advanced Communications & Information Technology committees.
