Frankfort, KY –Freshman Representative Dean Schamore last week was appointed to serve on another committee in the Kentucky House of Representatives. Speaker Greg Stumbo appointed Rep. Schamore to the House Standing Committee on Tourism Development and Energy Committee.
“Representative Dean Schamore’s success in business makes him an ideal candidate to serve on the Tourism Development, and Energy Committee,” House Speaker Greg Stumbo said. “Having successfully launched his own company and watched it grow, his entrepreneurial experience and mind for business development is just what this committee needs.”
The House Standing Committee on Tourism Development and Energy focuses on matters related to tourism and travel promotion and development for Kentucky, as well as issues related to public utilities and energy use.
Rep. Schamore is an entrepreneur, the founder and owner of Digital Connections Plus located in Hardinsburg in Breckinridge County. He served in the United States Navy and resides in Hardinsburg with his wife and two daughters. Elected in 2014, Rep. Schamore represents House District 10, which includes Breckinridge, Hancock and portions of Hardin County. He serves as Vice Chair of the Veterans, Military, and Public Safety Committee. He also serves on Agriculture and Small Business, Economic Development, and the Tourism Development and Energy committees.
