Frankfort, KY –Freshman Representative Dean Schamore last week was appointed as Vice Chairman of the House Veterans, Military Affairs and Public Protection Committee. Rep. Schamore was appointed in January to serve on the House Agriculture & Small Business Committee; the Budget Review Sub-Committee on Economic Development & Tourism, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection; Economic Development & Tourism Committee; and as a member on the Veterans, Military Affairs & Public Protection Committee. Dean Schamore is a former member of the United States Navy.
“Representative Dean Schamore’s extensive experience serving our country makes him an outstanding choice to serve as vice-chairman of this committee, and I know my legislative colleagues in the House and I will count on his advice heavily in the years ahead when it comes to issues affecting veterans and the military,” House Speaker Greg Stumbo said. “Appointing him to this role was one of the easiest decisions other House leaders and I had to make.”
Dean Schamore is an entrepreneur, the founder and owner of Digital Connections Plus located in Hardinsburg in Breckinridge County. He served in the United States Navy and resides in Hardinsburg with his wife and two daughters. House District 10 includes Breckinridge, Hancock and portions of Hardin County.
