Frankfort, KY – Newly sworn in state Representative Dean Schamore has been appointed to House Committees for his first term. Rep. Schamore will serve on the House Agriculture & Small Business Committee; the Budget Review Sub-Committee on Economic Development & Tourism, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection; Economic Development & Tourism Committee; and he will serve on the Veterans, Military Affairs & Public Safety Committee.
Recognizing the experience Rep. Schamore has with small business, economic development, agriculture and as a former member of the U.S. Navy, House leadership has appointed him to four important committees.
“Dean Schamore will be an outstanding General Assembly member, and his business skills and military experience will be invaluable assets in setting public policy,” said House Speaker Greg Stumbo.
“I am truly honored to have the opportunity to help address these important issues facing Kentucky,” said Rep. Schamore (D-Hardinsburg). “I look forward to serving with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to tackle some of our biggest challenges.”
Dean Schamore is an entrepreneur, the founder and owner of Digital Connections Plus located in Hardinsburg in Breckinridge County. He served in the United States Navy and resides in Hardinsburg with his wife and two daughters. House District 10 includes Breckinridge, Hancock and portions of Hardin County.
The General Assembly will begin the second portion of this year’s legislative session on Feb. 3rd.
